M&A VP / Associate (Infrastructure)
Gresham has identified an opportunity to expand our activities in the infrastructure market and is building a dedicated infrastructure coverage team. Gresham is seeking high performing mid-career investment bankers with transaction experience in core or core-plus infrastructure assets looking for a new challenge in a core team of market-leading infrastructure experts. This is rare opportunity to join a growing team with significant execution experience and deep networks across a global sphere of infrastructure investors, covering a wide range of industries including energy, transport, logistics, utilities, waste, renewables, telecommunications and digital infrastructure.
Gresham is looking to hire two separate candidates at VP and Associate level.
The roles will primarily involve assisting senior bankers in a wide range of duties including providing advisory services for M&A and other corporate transactions and marketing the value of Gresham’s expertise to client companies. The team remains highly focused on execution of live mandates, with marketing efforts directed at providing insightful angles and analysis for our core relationship clients.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Building, managing and explaining complex infrastructure models to clients and senior stakeholders
- Examining the strategic and financial merits of proposed transactions for marketing purposes
- Preparing and delivering presentations, marketing pitches and other materials to key stakeholders
- Valuation analysis of companies and infrastructure assets
- Performing transaction due diligence and coordinating a broad panel of external DD consultants
- Industry, market and company analysis
- Executing detailed tasks involved in all phases of M&A engagements
- Working within a team assisting seniors in preparing information memoranda and data rooms and co-ordinating the team’s processes
- Share ideas and actively support firm-wide efforts to improve the firm
- Supporting a team culture by working well with others
- Maintain professionalism at all times and demonstrate integrity
- Managing the output of junior team members and training analysts in industry best-practice infrastructure valuation and advanced financial modelling concepts
The following skills and experience are required for this role:
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Proven track record of achievements (university and extra-curricular)
- Minimum 3+ years relevant experience (ideally infrastructure M&A transactional experience at a bulge bracket or mid-market boutique investment bank)
- Strong numerical and financial modelling skills, ability to handle complex infrastructure models and generate insightful analysis and recommendations to clients
- Solid understanding of business, accounting and corporate finance principles
- Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Rigorous attention to detail

M&A Analyst/Associate - Perth Office

We are seeking talented, highly motivated individuals to join our Perth office at an Analyst or Associate level to join our team of highly accomplished bankers.

- Assist in all phases of transactional execution, including the preparation of marketing materials, financial analysis, and client presentations

- Analyse the strategic and financial merits of potential transactions and create and present comprehensive marketing pitches to clients
- Conduct thorough transaction due diligence, coordinating efforts with external consultants

- Assist in the preparation of information memoranda and virtual data room management
- Contribute to firm-wide initiatives by sharing ideas and insights
- Uphold professionalism and integrity in all interactions and deliverables
- Managing the output of junior team members and training analysts, fostering a supportive team environment through effective collaboration (Associate level).

- Relevant experience
- Analyst: 1-3 years of corporate finance experience
- Associate: minimum of 3 years of experience, ideally M&A transactional experience at a bulge bracket or mid-market boutique investment bank
- Strong financial modelling skills and the ability to produce insightful analysis and recommendations
Solid understanding of business, accounting, and corporate finance principles - Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Effective team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work - Proven leadership skills and experience in managing project workstreams (Associate level)
