Michael is a Managing Director of Gresham’s corporate advisory business and is Co-Head of the Perth office.
Michael joined Gresham in 2006 and has advised clients through a wide range of corporate and strategic initiatives, including M&A, equity capital markets and capital management transactions, across multiple sectors.

- Wesfarmers – advisor on the internalisation of management rights and lease reset agreement with BWP
- Iluka – advisor on the non-recourse loan facility entered into with the Australian Government to fund development of the Eneabba rare earths refinery
- Newcrest – advisor to Newcrest on its takeover by Newmont
- Woodside – advisor on the merger with BHP Petroleum
- Deterra – advisor to Deterra on its takeover bid for Trident Royalties
- Sierra Rutile – defence advisor to Sierra Rutile on its takeover by LeonOil
- Catalyst – advisor on the acquisition of Henty Gold Mine
- Iluka – advisor on the demergers of Sierra Rutile and Deterra Royalties
- Wesfarmers – advisor on the sale of the Curragh and Bengalla coal mines
- David Jones – advisor on its takeover by Woolworths Holdings
- Clough – advisor on its takeover by major shareholder Murray & Roberts Group
- Zip Water – advisor on the sale of a majority interest to Quadrant Private Equity and the subsequent sale to Advent / Culligan
- Wesfarmers – advisor on the sale of its insurance broking business to Arthur Gallagher
- BHP – advisor on its divestment of Yabulu Nickel Refinery
- Platinum Equity – advisor on its acquisition of 70% of Sensis from Telstra
- Telstra – advisor on its negotiation with the Australian Government in relation to the NBN
- Wesfarmers – advisor on the takeover of Coles and subsequent equity capital raisings
- RAC WA – advisor in its acquisition of Suncorp’s 50% interest in RAC Insurance Limited
Prior to joining Gresham, Michael was a corporate solicitor at Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst).
Michael graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2003 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce. Michael also holds a FINSIA Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.
