Thaer (“TK”) joined Gresham Partners in February 2026 and is a Vice President in the Sydney Corporate Advisory team.
Thaer has more than ten years' experience in corporate finance and M&A, advising financial institutions, private equity sponsors and corporates on complex transactions across Australia and the Middle East. His primary focus is the financial services sector, spanning banking, non-bank lending, fintech and payments, asset finance, insurance and wealth management.
Prior to joining Gresham, Thaer was a Director in Corporate Finance and M&A at Alvarez & Marsal in Dubai, where he originated and executed manaaAdates across the GCC and wider MENA region for government-backed entities, regional corporates and global investors. Before relocating to the Middle East, he spent over five years in Deloitte's Financial Services M&A team in Sydney, where he played an instrumental role in launching the firm's Portfolio Lead Advisory Services practice.
Thaer is a Chartered Accountant (CAANZ) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Business Law, from the University of New South Wales.
